Cool concept! We liked the pixel art and the world building is quite intriguing. Some characters really have an attitude!
Because the game is dialogue heavy, it would be nice to have a few QoL changes to make it easier to absorb the content. Like making the dialogue (or the person's name) a different color for each character would make it easier to see who is speaking. Also being able to open the newspaper at any time would be good to get more familiar with the lore.
Oh and at some point the audio just stopped and never came back.
Overall cool prototype, keep it up!
Thanks for the feedback! Will definitely take it on board!
Having character specific colours is a great idea.
As for the newspapers I'm was planning on adding an Adjucators notebook that would be a history/lore summary gathered from that playthrough, but having a pile of old newspapers on the table for the player to read through is an excellent idea as well. It'll help the player to compare the difference between the Day and Night's perspectives on the same events.
I think I'll do both.
The sound has been an issue on itch.io from the beginning probably because I'm generating it programmatically. I thought I fixed it but it's good to know it still breaks down!
All in all, thanks a lot for the feedback <3
